What is Blingl?

Blingl is a dating app for gay, bi, and queer people, currently preparing to launch city by city in the UK.

Our motto is "Less swiping. More sparks." The idea is simple — get people off the app and into the real world instead of stuck in conversations that go nowhere.

When Blingl launches in your area, you'll be able to discover people nearby, chat, or tap "Spark" on someone's profile. If they spark you back, you can organise a date directly through the app. No endless back and forth. Just an actual plan.

Blingl works for relationships, casual connections, friendships, or wherever the night takes you.

What makes Blingl different?

We built Blingl because we used dating apps ourselves and got tired of the same problems — fake profiles, annoying ads, conversations that die, and an experience that feels more draining than fun.

The goal was to build something that actually feels good to use. Safer, more genuine, and designed around meeting people rather than keeping you scrolling.

We're still building it, and feedback from people using the app shapes where it goes next.
